A WOMAN suffered serious injuries today after falling from a third-floor window at Oxford Brookes University student accommodation.

The incident happened at 10.30am at Clive Booth Hall, an accommodation block off John Garne Way in Marston.

Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said South Central Ambulance alerted officers to the incident.

She said: “We received a report that a woman had fallen from a third-floor window at student accommodation at Clive Booth Hall.

“She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with very serious injuries.

“The injuries were desribed as life-threatening and then as potentially life-changing.”

Ms Billen added that officers were at the scene until about 3pm and have been speaking to witnesses.

She said: “The circumstances surrounding the fall are being investigated.”

Oxford Brookes University spokesman Matthew Butler said: “The woman who fell from the hall of residence was not a student at Oxford Brookes and was not a member of staff.

“The hall has not been closed and we are doing everything we can to assist the police.”
