MODELS are preparing to strut their stuff on the catwalk ahead of next month’s Oxford Fashion Week.

The show will take place twice this year, from March 3-9 at various city venues, including the Malmaison Hotel and the Randolph Hotel ballroom. Another show is being planned to take place in the winter.

Carl Anglim who founded the event in 2009, is back at the helm as director and said he is excited about plans for the show, which launched last Thursday.

He said: “It really is just counting down the days now.

“I am really, really excited, it is a fantastic line-up and it really is a good event involving lots of people from the community.”

Open model castings to be part of the event are being held on February 8 and 9, from 2-5pm at the Malmaison and are open to men and women over the age of 14.

After the castings, a shortlist for the Face of Oxford will be opened for a public vote and the winner will be revealed on Friday, February 21.
