7:00am Thursday 17th October 2013 in News
GIRLS from Headington School dressed in outfits ranging from medieval times to modern day as part of a charity walk for Third World children’s charity Plan UK.
About 800 pupils took part in the one-mile walk on Friday, which also coincided with International Day of the Girl.
The girls from the school in Headington Road dressed as inspiring women including Joan of Arc, Mother Teresa, the Spice Girls and Team GB boxer Nicola Adams.
Teresa Macey-Dare, 11, above, from Botley, was voted the overall winner by fellow students for appearing as the Statue of Liberty.
She said: “The walk was really fun, but very tiring.
“In some countries, they don’t get the same privileges we do and I think everybody should be treated the same.”
