A new special educational needs and disabilities school has received a visit from Banbury's MP.

Victoria Prentis toured the facilities at Bloxham Grove, including the sensory room, cooking facilities, and classrooms.

She met with headteacher Charlotte and Harry from the Gallery Trust, learning about how the school operates and the work it does for its 55 students.

Ms Prentis took part in the school council meeting, where students discussed topics including the possibility of zip wires from first-floor windows and the merits of a compulsory school uniform.

She said: "It was great to visit Bloxham Grove earlier this month to see all the amazing work they are doing for children with cognition and learning difficulties.

"With classes named after artists and facilities that encourage life-skills like cooking classes, Bloxham Grove is preparing its students for the future."
