The weather forecast for tomorrow is looking dry as thousands prepare to take to the streets of Oxford for May Morning.

The centuries-old tradition looks set to enjoy a dry start to the day, with heavy rain expected in the afternoon.

Crowds will assemble along High Street and Magdalen Bridge to welcome spring with a 6am choral performance, led by choristers performing traditional pieces including the 17th-century Hymnus Eucharisticus, from the top of Magdalen College's Great Tower.

Celebrations will continue across Oxford with dances, music, food and entertainment available, including Morris dancing and folk singing.

As part of the celebrations, a number of cafes and pubs will open early from 6.30am.

A road closure will be in place from The Plain to the top of the High Street from 2am until around 9am.
